Client Portal for Document Submission and Status Tracking
A professional services firm (e.g., accounting and legal support) needed a private online portal where clients could upload documents securely and track the status of their cases. Previously, everything was managed via email attachments and phone calls, which caused delays and confusion.
We built a portal that included secure login for each client, a document upload system with progress indicators, and a message center for direct communication between staff and clients. Uploaded files were automatically organized into client folders with version control and timestamping. Admin users could assign internal staff, update case statuses, and send notifications.
The interface was designed for ease of use, with visual status labels (e.g., “received,” “in review,” “needs revision,” “completed”) and email alerts triggered by updates. We also included an archive feature so completed projects could be stored but not modified.
